Electricity can be dangerous!

Electricity is very helpful, but because it is a form of energy, it is also very dangerous. If you touch it, it can hurt you. It can burn you or even kill you.

• Never stick your fingers or toys into electrical outlets.
• Never play with electric toys in the bathtub or near water.
• Never carry electrical toys by the cord. It can expose the wires and cause deadly shock or burns.
• Never fly your kite near power lines. The electricity can travel down the kite string and burn you or cause a deadly shock.

 

Play it safe with electricity!

• Always ask an adult to help you when using electricity.
  
• Always obey the instructions on warning labels.
• Always dry your hands before you use things powered by electricity.
• Always stay away from areas with “Danger” or “High Voltage” signs.
